Features of the growth of indica
Indica hemp is a very unpretentious plant that has a strong immune system. It is ideal for growing in the open ground in California. The temperate climate allows it to fully unlock its yield potential.
Depending on the region, the planting of indica seeds in the open ground is carried out in April-May. It is important that the night temperature reaches 20 degrees Celsius and does not decrease. The seed will germinate for 2–4 days. Sometimes the process is delayed up to 1–2 weeks.
A week after the appearance of a small sprout, the indica passes into the phase of the vegetative stage. Its growth is rapid. The branches grow and gain strength. The foliage becomes more and more until the bush turns into a fluffy monster. During the vegetative phase, the plant reaches its maximum size. As a rule, it takes 30–35 days to do this. At this point, it needs a lot of sunlight.
This type of marijuana perfectly tolerates the lack of moisture, but it is recommended to add water as the soil dries. The vegetative stage is accompanied exclusively by the plant’s need for nitrogen. On flowering, it will need potassium and phosphorus. Usually, the plantation is fed at least once a month.
After the light day lasts less than 14 hours, the cannabis of the indica bloods will enter the color phase. Mighty knotty branches will be decorated with a scattering of inflorescences, exuding a strong aroma. Watered during this period, as before, only adjust the nutrition, increasing the dosage of phosphorus. Flowering lasts 6–10 weeks.
The harvest begins in the first half of September. Two weeks before the harvest, the bush is stopped feeding and watering. The yield varies from 300 to 500 grams of dry cones per square meter of cultivated area.
